Data Transfer & IP Addresses
A server log is a file that is automatically created and maintained by the server of activity performed by it. We collect server information with the use of 4 types of server logs: access, CPU usage, data transfer and error. The server will maintain a history of page requests including client IP address, request date/time, page requested, HTTP code, bytes served, user agent, referrer, operating system, browser and version. We use this information primarily to find out where users visit the most, what features they like the best, and what we can do to make things better. This information is kept on a secure dedicated server hosted by WebXess, Inc.
Certain pages contain forms requesting names, addresses, phone numbers, fax numbers, email addresses, demographic, preference and other personal and demographic information from the user. The same information may be requested for affiliated parties in the transaction, such as: lender, buyer, seller and insurance company. This information is gathered only with the user's knowledge and active consent. Our business is title insurance and real estate services to customers. We collect information about you (for instance, your name, address, telephone number) and information about your transaction, including the identity of the real property that you are buying or financing. We obtain a copy of any deeds, notes or mortgages that are involved in a transaction. We may get this information from you or from the lender, attorney or real estate broker that you have chosen. We then obtain information from the public records about the property so that we can prepare a title insurance policy. When we provide closing, escrow or settlement services, mortgage lending or mortgage loan servicing, we may get your social security number and we may receive additional information from third parties including appraisals, credit reports, land surveys, escrow account balances, and sometimes bank account numbers to facilitate the transaction.
